Ever since he broke into a UMass post game press conference and told John Calipari he's kill him and had to be restrained.

3. I've always been a big fan of John Chaney... |
|
He's always impressed me with not the way that he teaches his kids about the game of basketball, but the way he teaches them about life. It seems that every former Temple player you see in the NBA (i.e. Eddie Jones and Aaron McKie) just comes off as incredibly well-grounded.
An anti-Bush rant would only make him go up in my estimation.

not the writer says "Awful scene" what an ass.
"You're the ones who should be out there fighting that war,'' Chaney replied to the vocal dissenters. Chaney was about to continue the awful scene, until someone on the dais said, "John... '' as if in warning, and an emotional Chaney immediately changed gears, expressed thanks and got out unscathed, seemingly trying to apologize and soften the blow before he sat down.
"I want to thank you for this award, but know I speak from my heart, any time I stand up,'' he said. "And my heart's bleeding for people who are dying right now.''

7. He's prone to speaking his mind |

on all subjects. He was openly celebratory after Bush The Not Quite As Stupid was voted out in 1992.
