Wesley Clark experienced almost as much heavy rotation in the nineties as Oasis, but even though it was a bit less, that actually could have been indicative of having "underground cachet". And look at how Wesley Clark was the best-dressed for the MTV "Rock The Vote" forum during the primaries - you can't buy that kind of a youth-culture calling-card, not even with an Oasis-size promotional budget.
