AARRGGHH! I was nice to a Repug by mistake! |
|
We have a 4-way stop here in town that gets really backed up in the afternoon. The post office exit is right near the same corner, so if you don't let people out of the post office lot, that gets really backed up as well. So, I thought I would be a good citizen and let someone get in front of me that was trying to get out of the post office lot. As you have probably guessed, they had a W'04 bumper sticker on their car! I'm so sorry! I would never have let them out if I had known. I must do penance.

1. Did you get a thank-you wave? |
|
Somehow I doubt it. You set a good example, though.

But he couldn't see my Kerry/Edwards or DU stickers. But, this is Iowa, so a wave is sort of automatic when you let someone get in front of you.

2. Now, now. Remember, to a Democrat, virtue is its own reward. |
|
To a repuke, virtue is what you fake in order to get elected!

3. Eh. I have repugs in my kitchen right now. |
|
They're my in-laws. It's good to be nice to people. Even republicans.

4. I am nice to Repubs all the time. |
|
This place is crawling with them. I am a nice person by nature. If I decided to stop being nice to everybody who might be a Bush-voter, I'd never be nice to anyone around here, because chances are good they're a Bushie.
I'm usually nice to my inlaws too. ;)

5. No, you were just being nice. |
|
Why do we think it's wrong to treat those with differing political views like human beings? Because they wouldn't do it for you? That's not a good enough reason.

Maybe the people behind him were dems, so maybe I helped them in some way. This is a very blue town, repugs are really in the minority.

9. am I the only one who gets tired of this nonsense? |
|
not everything is about politics. Do you REALLY regret letting somebody out of a parking lot because you don't like the way they voted?

11. I am nice to the repugs at work, and family members |
|
But I must admit I am much more inclined to let drivers in when I see progressive bumper stickers. I don't let big-ass SUV's in at all. Can't see around the damn things.
