Winter Weather Rants...Post them here! |
|
Edited on Wed Jan-26-05 07:30 PM by Longgrain
We had snow in New England again today after finally digging ourselfs out from the last one last week and I am gritting my teeth. :grr:
First thing, I have to get up at five in the morning and drive to work thirty miles when it's dark, I can't see, most of the roads have been unplowed. The highway's jammed with sanders, so you can only go ten miles an hour, cars keep sliding off the highway, the windshield keeps keeps getting mucky! I nearly risked my life getting into today!
At work the truck with our delivery was over five hours late, so I had to stay late at work, the snow never let up until the afternoon!
I want sun! I want warmth! I want summer!
It's enough to make a nice guy like me burn!
But I'm back to myself now, and feeling better...thanks for letting me rant.:)

Cannot get my car out of the garage. Had to get pushed out of garage and off my street on Monday and Tuesday (Monday by the dudes in the recycle truck, stuck behind me; Tuesday by the dudes in some big-ass pick-up, also unable to get by me). Had to get up at the freaking pre-crack of dawn today so my husband could take me in and take a cab home because I still cannot get my car off my street!

12. So much snow-too much snow |
|
couldn't get to my alpacas and chickens-they were stuck in their houses-snow too deep for them to walk in...36"+ So I gave up!!! Decided to buy a snow thrower and FOUND one to buy yesterday. Now I'm broke, but we have paths everywhere...even a jogging track and now they're happy. Geesh, it took animals with "cabin fever" to finally get me to make this decision-today I even cleared my driveway - now more snow...but it's the cold that really makes me feel miserable! Think Spring!!
