How do you know that your job sucks?
I knew because I skipped something one should not be skipping in one's twenties if one is a woman. And NO I am not expecting.

1. Now I'm curious...
what did you skip?

Your job sucks when you wake up vomiting at the thought of going to work. That is happening to me now.

9. Oh, I'm actually not a guy, but...
when you said you weren't expecting, that threw me off a bit. Sorry!

Yeah, I guess that means your job sucks. I do hope you're looking elsewhere. Life is just too short to do something you hate.

14. I know when I sit at the edge of my bed every morning
dressed and ready to go, but I don't want to and have to force myself. Nothing too demanding, just useless...I feel the profession I'm in is extortion.

22. how about when you bitch openly to management about
management? Does that count? Sometimes I come home scared (of losing my job or my mind). I guess it's fight or flight - but you wouldn't believe the goofy goings-on we had last year.

24. Your job sucks when you don't sleep well, you either over or under eat,
your family thinks you're not much fun anymore
you drag your ass out of bed when the alarm goes off
you start looking to the weekend on Monday
you check your benefits to see when you can retire
you inadvertently walk out of the office/plant/television station with some piece of gear and say to yourself, "Fuck 'em."
when they call for overtime, you see it on caller ID and let the answering machine pick it up
when your company pager goes off, you tell them the next day you happened to be in Oklahoma where the pagers don't reach
you call in sick/grandmother dead/cat dead/car dead/had a fire in the house/flood in the house/really bad stomach ache...whatever, when none of it is true

Oh, I know. I worked for the man (Rupert, if you can call him a man.) I worked for FOX.
No longer. I am so glad to be rid of the bastards.
