Now Forum........... Divorce Survivors |
|
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=301I know there must be a lot of people (at least half of us) who have this common . You may be a survivor because your parents are divorced or you children and you have lost a significant relationship with an inlaw. come on down.

I guess if they're abusive it could be.
I think in many cases divorce is a great thing - life saving even.

7. I guess you can't speak for everyone |
|
I am simply inviting people to a forum they might like to know about. You don't have a problem with that do you?

I'm a product of multiple divorces. Just thought the title was a bit morbid is all.

I didn't name the forum. I think those who might want to go there feel survivor is a pretty accurate word for how they feel.
I am glad that is not your experience.

8. perhaps you think "divorce veteran" would be a better forum name? |
|
Edited on Thu Jan-27-05 09:52 AM by unblock
actually, if the forum is about all things related to divorce? in that case, it would simply be a "divorce" forum.
this would then include questions from people going through the process currently.

I feel that in many cases divorce is a really good thing. The title as is implies something that's always a tragedy.

That is not my decision. I didn't start the forum or write the mission statement. I don't know the answer to your question.

11. Yeah, I suppose it's a grey area. |

The same would go for common-law relationship collapses. I'll have to investigate.
