Freeper calls my co-worker a fornicator |
|
after he said that he lived with his girlfriend.
Wife of freeper says, "oh John, not you, no..."
I wasn't in the room - or I would have said - well, so did I, you dumb fuck! (as well as some other choice words)
Get your judging ass on up to "heaven" so us "fornicators" can just enjoy life. Where the hell is the rapture when you need it?

|
If it's merely for sexual pleasure, he's a sinner. One must be completely pure in flesh, or surely the rotting of the spirit will commence. /sarcasm off

2. That kind of self-righteousness pisses me off. |
|
Just like this so-called "friend" of mine: She saw me in church, eight months pregnant (eighteen years ago, and I was single), and said, "I wasn't aware you had gotten married." I said I hadn't. She wrinkled up her nose in disgust and said primly, "If you're having a bastard, I'm afraid I can't offer you congratulations."
Yeah. Hypocrite. The only differences between her and me were that I only slept with ONE guy and my contraception failed.

17. That reminds me of a friend of mine who's father was killed in a semi |
|
accident. The truck had rolled over after leaving the road, and he was killed instantly in CA. He went to the funeral, then returned to AZ to get back to work. He had had a rocky relationship with his father, and it haunted him that he didn't have the chance to clear things up before the untimely death.
He went to his church, and after one of the services, asked the preacher about his father's possible fate after the death. The preacher asked if his father had "found and accepted Christ as his Savior". My friend answered he didn't know the answer to that.
The preacher then said, "I am sorry to tell you your father is most likely burning in hell at this moment". My friend quit work three days later, and we never saw him again...:) So much for this particular "christian" preacher. I saw him a few months later in one of the local stores, and gave him a vociferous piece of my mind, and explained to him in no uncertain terms, that hypocrites were pretty well guaranteed a place in the hell he spoke of, regardless of the title they hold in the religious community.
I am sorry to hear you had to go through what you did at the hands of a fool. Too bad her judgmental attitude was merely a cover-up for her own foolish behavior in her life. Apparently, up to that point, she never had learned that love and compassion; understanding and empathy; are core points of Christianity....:)

|
She was a co-worker and asked if Will and I are married. I said no, and she asked if we lived together. I said yes, and she said, "Oh, so you advocate for that kind of lifestyle?" and I said, "I'm not an advocate for anything, but living with your sweetie kind of sells itself, don't you think?" She didn't know whether to shit or go blind. Later she was laid off and about three weeks after that she called to tell me she was pregnant and to ask if she could add her baby to her COBRA benefits, since she wasn't married and the father had no interest in putting his baby on his bennies.
Nice.

|
I absolutely love nothing more than getting grilled by someone who thinks that our relationship is somehow their business. "When are you two getting married?" "Why haven't you two gotten married?" "Do you have an open relationship or something?"
My boss of three years is an Evangelical Xian, but not the evil kind. She keeps a Bible in her office and occasionally talks about her church activities (which are numerous- she goes four or five times a week!), and she very occasionally shares her faith. I know she's a religious lady, she knows I'm an atheist living in sin, and yet she somehow restrains herself from asking any questions or making any comments. Once, when Will sent me some flowers, she said, "I wish you two would get married," I told her if we ever did, we'd have her conduct the ceremony. She seemed to like that.

37. Quick question - Why does it matter to you? |
|
So many people seem to have a bizarre need for "approval" from Freepers. Does it really matter to you, even a little, that the moron disagrees with your lifestyle? Are you harmed by the fact that he thinks it's wrong for you to live with your girlfriend? I'd think it was wrong for you to live with your girlfriend too if your girlfriend were my daughter, but if my opinion is incapable of changing the situation, what harm is done by it? Why would you take offense?
Personally, I don't take offense when stupid ideas flow from idiots. As a married bisexual man, I frequently hear "OH MY GOD, YOU'RE GAY!" from fundie types who assumed that I was straight when they learned that I was married. My standard response is "No, I'm only half-gay". There is rarely any conversation beyond that.
The one time I did have a fundie woman go off on be for being bi, a "fornicator", and an "adulterer", and that our "kind of people" should be eradicated. I simply recited the words of Jesus himself back to her: "He that is without sin among you, let him cast the first stone". Not expecting a Biblical comeback, she shut up and scurried off back to whatever rathole she crawled out of.
There is no cure for idiocy. Just ignore them.

This is another example of cherry picking the Bible since so many of these judgmental "Christians" ignore Christ's admonition against divorce. Matthew 19 verse 9 Jesus replied, "I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

Look at your original message, and the replies of most of the posters here. I see anger, bitterness, and calls for vengeance.
When a small child spills his milk, should the parent get mad and scream at him? No, because he doesn't know any better and can't help himself. When an autistic person accidentally knocks over an expensive 150 year old vase, should we cry for vengeance? No, because we understand that autistics are incapable of fine motor control. The same goes for fundie/freeper types. They are incapable of having rational, open-minded thought processes, and to grow angry at them for simply repeating the same drivel that they have heard all of their lives is pointless and silly.
Oh, and if you reread your own original post, you'll notice that the fundie never told your friend what to do. He simply expressed his feelings about the situation. Idiotic drivel from an idiot. Live with it, ignore it, and quit caring so dang much what the Freepers think about you.

His kind of talk is not welcome in the workplace, nor should it be accepted.

The worst I've ever heard was "You, you, LIBERALS..." like it was the ultimate slander.
My wife has a terribly quick toungue -- I've seen her eviscerate people for saying inappropriate stuff like this.
If I'd been in your co-worker's situation I probably would have laughed, or maybe stood there in sunned silence like I'd just witnessed a swarm of bees flying out of the person's mouth.
If I'd been John and I had my wits together quick enough I'd say something totally deadpan:
"Oh no, no, dear. We're not fornicators. We only sleep together."
It would be so funny watching them try to wrap their heads around that.

62. Since they know everything send them this letter with a few questions: |
|
Dear Freeper couple,
Thank you for doing so much to educate me regarding God's law. I have learned a great deal from you, and I'll try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind him that Leviticus 18:22 clearly states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the specific laws and how to best follow them.
When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a pleasing odor for the Lord (Lev. 1:9). The problem is my neighbors. They claim the odor is not pleasing to them. How should I deal with this?
I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as it suggests in Exodus 21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for her?
I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her period of menstrual uncleanliness (Lev. 15:19-24). The problem is, how do I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offense.
Lev. 25:44 states that I may buy slaves from the nations that are around us. A friend of mine claims that this applies to Mexicans but not Canadians. Can you clarify?
I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2 clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill him myself?
A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an abomination (Lev. 10:10), it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality. I don't agree. Can you settle this?
Lev. 20:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you can help. Thank you again for reminding me that God's word is eternal and unchanging.
Sincerely,
Your name here
I loathe sanctimonious people like that.
