Name a popular TV show you have never watched.
You know, one of those shows everyone discusses & you don't have a clue what they're talking about.

Looking at Dookus' post, I just realized I have never watched "The West Wing." Not once. Not out of dislike or anything... I just haven't.

Same with "Law & Order."

I watched exactly two episodes of both Friends and Raymond.

Thank goodness for Food TV, Discovery, HBO and the History Channel.

Another is "Alias," even though I consider Jennifer Gardner one of the hottest babes alive. Same with "Lost." Oh yeah, I have yet to see any of the "CSI" shows. These are multiplying aren't they. What is next, "CSI: Chattanooga?" "CSI: Billings, Montana?"

36. Unfortunately, Alias is like a religious experience in our house
Everything has to be just right - all chores done (no ironing in front of TV, no doing mailings), lights dimmed, meal eaten, wine poured. I find the show mildly amusing - something to have on in the background maybe - but for the S.O., it's the peak of his week, and one of the few things that make him really happy, so WTF.

Our Lady of Perpetual Peril - Orthodox.

18. "Joey," although it no longer qualifies as "popular"
Any press I have seen on this show lately is along the "how can we re-tool it and keep it on the air" lines.

Too many interviews with LeBlanc prior to the show's airing in which he whined about how he wasn't going to get paid as much as "Friends," while he posed in front of his stable of Porsches. Hey, Matt, people are sleeping under overpasses. Be grateful for what you have, bee-yatch.

Plus, I got a lifetime supply of Drea DeMatteo on "The Sopranos."

This show had nothing going for it other than a fix for "Friends" fans who couldn't let go.

20. Almost all of them.
I watch 4 shows, all cable programming, and lots of the SPEED channel's programming.

The 4 shows:

The Daily Show
American Hot Rod
Southern Steel

and sometimes

American Chopper

American Chopper qualifies as a popular TV show nowadays. I watch it least of the 4, almost rarely now.

Never saw a whole episode of "Sex in the City". As far as olden-days popular shows, I never watched Beverly Hills 90210, Dynasty, Dalls, or Party of Five

Not dissing cable, because when I was traveling a lot last year I was lucky enough to catch "Angels in America" and a bunch of "Carnivale" and one or two of that profane HBO Western, which was kind of enjoyable. Caught the Sopranos once in a while in my hotel, and Pet Emergency Police (or whatever it's called) on Animal Planet is usually on in the gym.

41. So many shows, so little time
Well, let's see:

Seinfeld
24
Everybody Loves Raymond
Law & Order
West Wing
Bored Housewives (or whatever it's called)
American Idol and it's ilk
Fear Factor
CSI Miami, New York, Toledo, Topeaka, Santa Fe or whatever

It's not that I don't like television, it's just that I have so little time to read since I am out of the house 12 hours a day between work and commuting and have a toddler. So spare time is at a premium and I prefer to read. Having said that - darn I really like NCIS - especially the character of Abby played by Pauley Perrette and Ducky played by David McCallum (old "Man from U.N.C.L.E. fan here).

Then I don't watch it. Not that I have anything against the networks, it's just that my TV-watching time is not compatible with "prime-time."

Now, I will admit that I'm shamefully addicted to the reality shows on MTV and VH1. But they show each episode about 5 or 6 times during the week at all hours so it's easy to catch up on those.

Also Pop Idol, and it's many spin-offs and variants.
