Last time I tried that (sans highway overpass), I pretty much removed the skin from my shins. Ouch.

I imagine he would swing up and hit the underside of the bridge hard, and then fall backwards (probably on his neck) onto the pavement. I stand by my original reaction, complete dumbass.
