You hear me?

See, he's way up on Cyprus Avenue and he's ready to kick your ass.

1. If he will sing "Into the Mystic"
for me, before he kicks my ass, then that'll be okay with me.

16. All he has to do...
...is perform Moondance, Have I Told You Lately, and Gloria, and I'd be putty in his hands.

5. Astral Weeks is a masterpiece. He can kick my ass anytime.
He is a genius who deigns to walk amongst us for awhile.

Today's Mozart's birthday and as I'm listening to his works, I wonder if in heaven he asks the celestial band to play Van Morrison for him.

15. Wow
I've never heard anyone tie Mozart and Van Morrison together.

I used to listen to Astral Werks when I was in a bad mood. By the end of the album, I was no longer in a bad mood. Impossible!!!

6. Remember the group "Them"
G L O R I A -Gloria. And "Here Comes the Night?" That voice was a young Van Morrison. Wow, talk about some early kick-ass blues!

10. I remember Pete Bardens was the keyboard player for a while.
It's weird that nobody's ever heard of him, since he played in early bands with Mic Fleetwood, Peter Green, Van Morrison, Rod Stewart, Ray Davies, Dave Ambrose, and on and on. By the way, in keeping with the theme of the original post, he described his experience in "Them" as having a "mafia feel".

Later, of course he was a charter member of the prog-rock juggernaut Camel.

Chasing Some exotic bird

I prefer to spend my time Just listening for that very special something

That I never heard."

He kicks ass like a Full Force Gale.

On edit--he looks more like Dylan Thomas every day. I'm betting he's a huge liberal politically, what do ya think?

Was lucky enough to see him, Joni Mitchell, and Bob Dylan 7 years ago this May. Outdoor show, gorgeous setting, wonderful tunes.

22. They piggy-backed
So each night of the tour, they took turns being opening, middle, and closing act. Van wore this gray suit and shades, and was the essence of cool.
