Happy 75th birthday to the great R&B singer, BOBBY "BLUE" BLAND!
Robert Calvin Bland was born in Rosemark, TN on January 27, 1930. He first sang in Memphis in 1949 with the Beale Streeters, whose line-up also included B.B. King.

Bland's long string of R&B hits began in 1957 with "Farther Up The Road" and continued for the next 20 years. His repertoire includes such gems as "I'll Take Care of You," "Cry, Cry, Cry," "I Pity The Fool," "Turn On Your Love Light," "Yield Not To Temptation," "Stormy Monday Blues," "That's The Way Love Is," Ain't Nothin' You Can Do," "These Hands (Small But Mighty)," "Poverty," "If You Could Read My Mind," "This Time I'm Gone For Good," and "I Wouldn't Treat A Dog The Way You Treated Me."

Bobby "Blue" Bland was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1992. Now 75, he continues to record and tour.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BOBBY!!! :party::bounce::toast::yourock:
