1. Are you sure it's a bicycle pump?

3. A Cow's Heart
A guy in my high school gave one to my English teacher. Needless to say, she was not amused.

10. Very insincere

He should have ripped out his own and given it to her

Hope she didn't have a cow over it.

4. Two questions?
How old were you? (and him)?

And was it a "gag" gift tied in with something better?

9. We were 27, had been dating for two years, and I was expecting a ring
sometime that year. We did end up getting engaged for a while some months later, but it didn't work out. They weren't gag gifts though.

12. Sounds like a young kid or a gag

For example I would have bought the pump and kept it in the box but put the ring or necklace (or other piece of Jewelry) in the bottom of the box. I am sorry while the disappointment by you on getting the pump would have been great, it would have made your finding the ring that better. OK I am still single, but I like enjoying life.

5. Not getting anything
that is by far the worst. I get strange things, but it's better than those years when I didn't have a boyfriend and got zippo.

7. A friend was given a set of socket wrenches
by her husband. A week later when he asked where it went because he wanted to use it she told him she returned them and showed him the bracelet she bought with the money.

At least that isn't as bad as the guy I know who bought his mom Mommy Dearest for Mother's Day.

14. let me see, it is a draw between
a smaller sized, easier to handle shop vac, or this guy gave me six 8 x 10 professionally taken framed photos of him all clipped together into this giant thing.

15. that IS a difficult choice- 6 framed photos of anyone is too many
unless they are going overseas for 10 years
