Will Borders/B&N care if I try to buy an "EXPLICIT LYRICS" CD and I'm 16? |
|
I've never bought a CD before with the "PARENTAL ADVISORY" label on it... do they even bother enforcing the "rule"? Is it dependent on which particular store I go to (like with movie theatres)?

3. I don't think "parental advisory" stickers require the buyer to be 18 |
|
But I don't know for sure. Try and see. What do you have to lose?

5. Was planning on trying it anyway. |
|
I never really knew WTF those stickers meant anyway.
I just didn't want to end up being dumb and going "uhh" if there is some dumb 18+ rule and the clerk gets all snotty with me. I'd rather have some crafty response pre-planned, like "Oh crap, I left my driver's license in the car" or whatever.

8. Just as corporate-owned media only cares about the MONEY made by such |

music, whether it be music or filth.
It's all about money. The religious right can whine all they want, but until their own corporate constituents follow the same path, things will not change. (may be good or may not be. Depends... In the 60s, at least bad language was used in good taste. Today there (generally) seems to be little meaning behind the use of the words. But that's not a blanket statement...)

Those are BAD words and they will damage your tiny little mind!
You can get pregnant that way too, you know! Yes, even if you're a guy!

10. It's not a legally enforceable thing like the movie ratings or cigarettes |
|
So most retailers won't look twice at it or you.

11. Movie ratings aren't law-enforcable |
|
At least not in this state, they aren't.
Oh, and by the way, everything went smoothly until I got pulled over by a cop :eyes: But that's another story.
