Watched DVD 3 times in last 3-4 months. Hilarious bits in the first 2/3 or so, freakishly creepy turn in the last reel. Perfectly nuanced acting, too, in IMHO. And although perhaps a bit over long, wonderful pacing.
Don't have to work tomorrow, so up late watching again. Any other fans of this little gem?
Any other fans? Will go on at length if there's others who dig it too...
Just FWIW, yer pal DS...

Its been 25 years since I've seen it, but "The Tenant" is still with me. Very creepy little film that really unnerved me for months after I saw it. Doubt I remember enough detail to share a serious discussion, but I'd love to hear the opinions of others. That might jog my memory. I can't definitely say that this movie TOWERS above the insipid schlock that passes for horror these days.
Most everything Polanski did was quality work; sadly, his personal "demons" kept him from achieving the prominance he deserved.
