5. Interesting question

I don't think it would rise to the constitutional level of "cruel and unusual". This is a booking facility, not a prison. I don't know if there's any "right to privacy" in booking. Certainly mug shots are available, and the fact that somebody's been booked is made public. I'm guessing there isn't a constitutional issue here, as long as they're not doing strip searches or body-cavity searches.

That's ridiculous. If anything..the County is offering the public the opportunity to view their operations.
What is so cruel about this? Now, if they turned the camera off and beat the living shit out of someone with their nightsticks for about an hour, I would then agree with you, but having a webcam at the front desk of their facility is not outrageous.

I never got it to open. I was thinking about the Geneva Convention saying you can't parade prisoners. Anyway, the front desk on camera differs greatly from the cells on camera.
