1. George Allen R-VA
Because he's one of mine, he's an ass, and he used his father's name to further his career, just like the shrub.

17. !!!SWEET NECTAR OF LIBERTY!!!
Allen said it AGAIN on Wednesday January 26th the year of our lord 2005

Condi Rice’s confirmation hearing
1/19/05
http://allen.senate.gov/?c=story&t=press&story=2005011961776.859375

Because of President Reagan's steadfast determination, hundreds of millions of people tasting that sweet nectar of liberty in central Europe are now friends and allies," said Senator Allen.

On the 2004 election

Ronald Reagan's election changed the dynamic of the Cold War from one of containment and co-existence to the advancement of freedom. As a result, hundreds of millions of people in Central Europe, once behind the Iron Curtain, now taste the sweet nectar of liberty, have joined NATO, and are true friends and allies.

Senator Allen's Tribute to President Reagan

But President Reagan believed the blessings of liberty must not be bestowed only on a few nations and only to those blessed to be born on free soil; Ronald Reagan, with the strength of his convictions, exported and advanced democracy to continents, countries, and people yearning to taste the sweet nectar of libert.

GOVERNOR ALLEN SELECTED AS "JEFFERSON SCHOLAR"

He also pointed to North Korea, China, Iraq, Cuba and other countries where "there are people who have never truly tasted freedom's sweet nectar.

3. santorum. But, tragically, there are so many to choose from:
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 07:32 AM by terrya
Jeff Sessions (R-AL). A pin headed homophobic, to the extreme, charter member of the American Taliban. When he talks, it sounds like he just left a KKK rally.

New Republican Oklahoma Senator Tom Coburn. Yet another vicious homophobe. Just a bizarre freak case.

John Cornyn R-TX. Sponsor of the anti-gay Federal Marriage Amendment with a fixation with box turtles.

Wayne Allard R-CO. Chief sponsor of the anti-gay Federal Marriage Amendment. Another fucking nut case.

Trent Lott R-MS. A racist pig. Compared homosexuality to kleptomania.

Norm Coleman R-MN. A soulless opportunistic creep. He's the successor to Paul Wellstone...and that fucking hurts, quite frankly.

And others:

Mitch McConnell R-KY

George Allen R-VA

Jim Bunning R-KY

Bill Frist R-TN

I expect he'll be on my "worst Senator list" very, very soon...so, I might as well just add his name now.

6. We can get Sanatorium out of there, I think.
A large portion of the Republicans in PA are John Heinz/Arlen Specter Republicans, are they not? They never liked Sanatorium and are probably mored pissed now because of what the extremists did to Specter during the primary and again threatening his Judiciary Committee Chairmanship. PA voted Blue. Our organization is strong there. We almost beat Specter in November without seriously trying.

He's vulnerable. Let's get his butt out of there.

10. As I am from SC, may I have an "Other" category?
Lindsay Graham and Jim DeMint. After decades of embarrassment from Thurmond, it's about time we had a break, but the voters here just will not learn.

and OF COURSE TALENT IS A CLONE. D'ya expect anything else? And our new "not yet dry-behind-the-ears" Gov. Blunt---he is going to do away with all those "social programs" like Medicaid, to give money to schools? Yeah right. He is beginning the dismantling of the public school system, by suggesting districts "opt out" of the state funding so they don't have to comply with regs. Of course, the MSM just eats it up. and gives JQ Public the pablum that Blunt is going to come to public school's aid. It is so hard to live here in "Misery"!

I call my Senators "No Talent and Junk Bond"

19. Are you an unfortunate MO resident, too?
I have lived in SW MO (bible belt) all my life, but it wasn't until the AG moved their HQ here that we began our ultra conservative nightmare. We actually had a really good Congressman, who was a Dem, back in the 60's. Nothing, and I do mean Nothing, since. I sport my anti-W bumperstickers--as do a few others here--but a rapist on the Repuke ticket could get elected. They would just say God told him to do it, I am sure, and that the victim deserved it. Jesus, on the Dem ticket, would be labeled the devil and lose in a landslide.

25. James Inhofe of Oklahoma should be an option too.
He's much more low-profile than Santorum, Frist or Lott, but he makes all of them look relatively sane. He fully embodies the pathologies of the Dominionist Right.
