Most of "Master of Reality is there". Except for the 2 instrumentals and "Solitude".

The guy's first record came out in 1957. He's easily older than any of the Stones.

3. Excellent.....Dio era Sabbath is unfairly maligned....

Mob Rules and Heaven and Hell stand up to at least 50% of the Ozzy era records, and far surpass anything that came after them. Even the live album with him doing some Ozzy songs is pretty boss.

5. "Mob Rules" is especially unfairly maligned.

I find it far superior to "Heaven and Hell."

Still, I prefer Rainbow to Dio-Sabbath.

That album to me is like "For Those About To Rock, We Salute You" from AC/DC. The first one with the new singer is excellent but it just went down from there.

But you're right about the first with the new singer being the best, in most cases.

Notable exception: Bruce Dickenson-era Maiden kicked the shit out of the early stuff with the singer whose name I can't even remember.

7. I prefer "Heaven and Hell".

It is not as spotty as "Mob Rules". On "Mob", I like the first three tracks, the title track and "Country Girl".

10. If Tony Iommi Is Playing Guitar, It's OK By Me

He's an original. On the early stuff, the chord choices, the riffs, and the middle eastern motifs in his leads were all things nobody else was doing. He's greatly underrated.

Personally, I like "Mob Rules" and "Heaven and Hell" even better than most Sabbath with Ozzy.
