SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- A 33-year-old e-Bay seller has been arrested on allegations he sold more than $93,000 worth of Rolex watches and professional sports tickets but failed to deliver the goods.

Gilbert Vartanian was indicted earlier by a federal grand jury but the charges were sealed until he was arrested in Fremont, Calif., on 12 counts of mail fraud.

In addition to the watches, he is alleged to have sold tickets for pro football and basketball games as well as boxing and auto racing events. Prosecutors said Vartanian would send buyers an empty envelope or blank sheet of paper.
