4. Being a parent is my passion
I've been married for 14 years to a wonderful woman. We have two young 'uns. My daughter is 8 years old and in the 3rd grade. My son just turned 4 and stays at home with his Mama right now (my wife works from home).

There's NOTHING more fun than coming home after a long day and playing with my kids. We spend our weekends playing and hiking and fossil hunting and a million other things.

They grow up WAY too fast. I want to make as many memories as possible.

5. Hard to Top Being a Parent
And just to reassure you: my daughter will turn 15 in May, and she's becoming a wonderful mature young lady. If you stay close to your kids and just follow your instincts, teenage years don't have to be a nightmare.

6. i totally agree
I have a daughter-18 and a son-13 who love to be home with us hanging with their friends. My daughter is staying in town for college next year because she doesn't want to leave. She does plan to go away to design school for her sophomore year though.

10. Thanks. I agree that staying close is the key.....
...to getting through the teen years. I was pretty close to my mom and dad during my teens because they were very involved and caring parents. I want to be there for my kids like they were there for me.

8. Animal rescue and recovery
I run a rescue (dogs, mostly). We only take in the broken and abused animals. Sad and rewarding all at the same time.

9. Big Br...
...Er, I mean, Music. I have been playing guitar since age 9, picked up the bass, harmonica and some keyboards along the way and I do vocals to. Now I am into recording and production, just finished up a fantastic rock album for a local band that will be released in early spring. I love it, I just wish I could get to the point where I can quit my day job and pursue it full time.
