Pat's Wonderful Wings (good Superbowl appetizers) |
|
COCKTAIL CHICKEN WINGS.
These turn a marvelous mahogany color when they are done. =====================================================================
1 Cup soy sauce 1/4 Cup oil 1/4 cup sherry 3 tsp sugar 1 tsp ginger 2 cloves chopped up garlic (1/4 tsp) 3 pounds chicken wings (make sure you take skin off some... less fatty)
Clip wings and discard tip. Marinade overnight in sauce. Bake 1 1/2 to 2 hours in 325 degree oven. Turn often to distribute in marinade.
Serve with Napkin
HAVE BEEN MAKING THIS FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS!! You can increase ginger a little for more kick and putting in a little more sherry is better too.

1. these are WONDERFUL ..... Bacon stuffed Cherry Tomatoes |
|
you can't stop at one!
1 1/2 lbs bacon 1/2 cup finely chopped green onions (white and green parts) 1/4 cup sour cream 1/4 cup mayonnaise 24 cherry tomatoes
Fry baon till crisp. Drain and cool on paper towels. Break into TINY pieces. In Medium bowl, mix bacon, green onions, mayonaise and sour cream. Remove stems from tomatoes. Cut thin slice off top and scoop out inside. Stand them stem side down and let drain 30 minutes. Fill tomatoes with bacon mixture. Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
Add smiggen of your favorite herb to mixture if you wish. This is kinda like a BLT --- without the bread!

I take about 1/4 cup of vodka with a pinch of cayenne pepper and inject Cherry tomatoes with a syringe. Keep away from the kids!
