My radio station responded to my request for Air America.
I emailed a polite email asking for an alternative to Rush. He emailed me back asking what shows I liked best and to give him a telephone call. Before I call him, I need some input. I've only listened to Randi Rhodes and Al Franken and then another guy who was kind of boring and didn't always talk politics. Anybody like anybody else? I need the best.

4. I would also suggest the Majority Report.
Lately I've been listening to Thom Hartmann rather than Al Franken.
:hi:

6. I suggest The Ed Schultz Show if you are in the south. He is a
strong voice that can change southern minds. They can find info about him at wegoted.com.

8. His voice also *sounds* a lot like Flush Limpballs
First time I heard Ed Schultz - I was like

:wtf:

I thought Flush had changed his mind and came over to the correct side of the argument!

7. I usually hear Al and Randi. I like both and they are very different.
We need to compile a list of the AM stations in different states, regions so we can contact them to do this.

One night, I did a search, hoping to find a site that would list all of them. I found nada. I'm sure someone associated with the industry would know how to find this information.

I think we need to start a concerted, grassroots campaign.

I have multiple RW hacks on all day competing with each other. The station with the lowest ratings would be an idiot to not try to tap this huge unserved market.

PS - did you mean to put this in the Lounge? This would be good in GD or GDP.

10. Well, it was more of a personal nature of my local radio station--
he just now responded to my email and I sent it before Christmas. I don't know if I'll get anywhere but I'm trying. This is a very conservative "Bush" area but I used a fairness and equal time argument and mentioned switching to satellite to get a more left point of view since I can't get anything around here. They don't like hearing about satellite radio!

I'm probably the only person he's heard from about this.

do and if we all contacted our local stations, we could get some to switch.

When I searched, I wanted to find out which of my local stations had the worst ratings and who the owners are so I could target them more specifically.

11. Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to have to listen to them
and get some background info on the Air America webste before I go to him.
