Poll question: Battle of the Bands: Oasis vs. The Beatles
Now is the time for my point to be proven that Oasis is more popular than the Beatles.

1. Fat chance.
Oasis put out about 1/100th of the quality the beatles put out.

2. The poll is being manipulated by unfair competitors.
The data shown here is so far skewed from all other results that this can only be said to be an outlier.

3. Neither. They are both hideously overrated.
The Beatles are better, but they were just a band, f'chrissakes.

4. OK, who are the two Freeper retards who voted for Oasis??
besides, considering the core of the band is two brothers who hate each other, they're a lot closer to the Kinks than the Beatles.

6. I would say they are closer to the Kinks as well.
After all, the Kinks were 1.5 times more popular than the Beatles.

24. Oh bullshit! The Beatles were more popular than Jesus!
And Ray Davies, talented songwriter though he is, ain't the Son of God.

23. I listen to more Oasis these days than I do Beatles...
beatles are like elevator music to me now even though I appreciate their place in history and, besides, I dont care about the personalities of the musicians (the two fighting oasis brothers who ARE assholes) since i am not a groupie, i just care about what the music sounds like.

5. "She's Leaving Home"
I found myself singing it on the way to work today. Don't know why. Just came to me. Genius. That's the Beatles. Oasis who?

7. Ummm...this ain't the UK, so the results are going to be predictable.
And even if it was the UK, the results would still be the same. (By the way, I REALLY love Oasis - always have - but we're talking the freakin' Beatles here. Even Liam and Noel ditched the cockiness years ago...)

"Quick...anybody...what was the name of Oasis' last album?"

17. I assume you are talking about Oasis and not the Beatles.
As for the Beatles to name the covers I know of:

Aerosmith-Come Together
Aerosmith-I'm Down
Stevie Ray Vaughan-Taxman
A Perfect Circle-Imagine (John Lennon)
Guns & Roses-Live and Let Die (Paul McCartney)

That is all I know of offhand.

16. And that is a good thing, a plus for Oasis.
They have respect for their art, rather than selling it as sonic wallpaper.

It could be that they are apolitical for all I know.
