Having said that, I have to go with the Meat Puppets; I just never had much use for Love and Rockets.

14. I really liked Bauhaus, but... L 'n' R kind of sucked, except for "Express
However, the Meat Puppets, while not my favourite band, recorded "Sam", which is one of the most amazing songs ever performed.
