Poll question: Matt's movie night. What'll it be?
Edited on Fri Jan-28-05 11:38 PM by WMliberal
I got two movies in from Netflix today. Which should I watch first?

Option 1: 1931 version of "All Quiet on the Western Front". This one really needs no introduction.

Option 2: Roman Polanski's "Fearless Vampire Killers, or Pardon Me, But Your Teeth Are in My Neck." Polanski met Sharon Tate (who also stars in the film) on the set of this film. Brilliant 50's vs. 60's subplot with the narrator serving as a "voice of the 50's and authority" and the vampires representing the 60's and counterculture.

1. No one does it to you like Roman Polanski

Sure, that's the tagline for the Tenant, but it works anytime.

2. Can I have a 3rd option?
AQotWF is a great book, but no movie has yet done it justice.

Anything by Polanski sucks, imo. Might be worth seeing it just for the novelty of being able to say you saw the movie in which Polanski met Tate, but if that's the sole draw, then I have to vote for almost anything else you could ever get your hands on.

OK, OK, if I HAVE to pick... AQotWF.

4. 3rd option should be in the mail tomorrow.
The Seventh Seal. It's a German movie. An allegory of a man playing a game of chess with death is the premise. I heard it's great, because it really just makes fun of allegory.

5. oogling over sharon tate is VERY tempting.
I can't decide whether to watch a serious movie or a silly one. I'm kinda in the mood for either. So i'm giving DU ten more minutes to help my indecisiveness. Free will be damned.
