|
Vote which one you like more (Not which is more annoying)

5. Katrina had a few songs. |

Mexico was my favorite.
Plus Kevin Rowland of Dexy's is a legendary asshole.

7. Walking on Sunshine by default. |
|
I loooooooaathed Come On, Eileen! To me, it was like a return of the worst of the 1970s. Not that WoS was all that original. But CO,E was unbearable.

9. Dexy's had some great songs - 'Come on...' was not among them. |
|
'This is what she's like', 'Dance Stance' or 'Geno' were half-decent.

14. "Academic inspiration, you gave me none...." |
|
(That lyric has a second meaning for all of us who were frustrated graduate students...) The Dexy's are the great lost band of the 80's. Kevin Rowland was a genius, albeit a tortured genius with rampant neuroses, a drug problem, and sexual orientation/gender identity issues. But Searching For the Young Soul Rebels and Too-Rye-Aye are like two of the greatest 80's albums ever. "There, There My Dear" is one of my top 10 favorite songs ever, even though to this day I still have no idea what it's about...
