Or wish me luck. It needs to be done.

1. Here's some motivation:

1 1/2 ppd x 5 years = $8,852

That should work.

Seriously - I wish you all the best -- it's one of the toughest, most rewarding things you will ever do.

2. Wow
Although we were 1/2 pack day smokers...but still, that's phenomenal.

Thanks!

7. I'm feeling ready
My grandpa has Lymphoma brought on by smoking. I'm tired of rattling, and my 4 year old asked me to quit. I am doing it for her and everytime I crave one I'll remind myself of her. I am even getting the husband to quit...and he wouldn't when I did when I was pregnant with her (going back to smoking after having her and after I stopped breastfeeding was the WORST.DECISION.EVAH!). This time he's going to stay committed to it, I'll make sure of that. Should be interesting to see how we react around each other. I just wish I could get him to give up the chew (YUCK!!!).

11. Those are good reasons to stop.
How can you refuse a 4 year old anything? I sure couldn't! Do it for her, for your Grandpa, and for YOU. :D

If you need advice, tips, or want to talk about the benefits of quitting, just shout out, ok? It can be done!

9. Well, I'm really motivated to quit
having done this several times before (cold turkey, like this time and not cold turkey (Nicoderm), I don't know if I was truly wanting to quit. This time I really want to.

I'm sure I'm going to have my cravings and I know those cravings never go away. It's not giving into them that is the challenge. Well, for one, after next week we'll be broke anyhow...so that helps a TON!!! LOL!

10. Hardest thing I've ever done
but also, one of the best things I've ever done.

Best of luck. The craving doesn't last forever.

12. An insight into the tobacco industry creeps
This'll help you realise that the industry is a cold, soulless thing that doesn't deserve your money...or your lungs LOL! But you probably knew that only too well. Still, read the article for some motivation. Good luck...it's very very difficult to stop.

Hastings & MacFadyen summarise their analysis: "One is left with the inescapable conclusion, that given the greatest threat to public health this country has faced since the great plague, these people are having fun, making money and show absolutely no concern for the consequences of their actions."
