Will any journalists be remembered form this time?
You gotta admit, it's a crazy time in the world right now. But, will any single journalist be remembered? Will we be talking about the great coverage of the Iraq war?
In 30 years when someone retires will we miss them and speak of them with respect?

1. John Stewart.
The rest will get Queen, Another One Bites the Dust, played at their memorials.

4. Rather doesn't count!
Only because he's part of the OLD OLD school club and is already of legend status.

15. That's Jon Stewart
and yes, we will remember him, though it will be ironic because he still says he isn't really a news reporter, just a comedian.

6. Sy Hersh
HIs stuff in the New Yorker must give the Bushites fits.
Hersh is ferreting out information they don't want us to have.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's on some kind of hit list.
Keep on, Sy!

8. Jane Araf, Christianne Amanpour, and that Koinanga fellow
...from CNN International, who has moved over from covering all of the worst stories in Africa to covering Iraq. They are the only reporters who actually LEAVE their hotel rooms, and who offer some depth in their coverage. I admire their bravery in that hosed-up environment.
