What is your favorite store bought salsa?
There are three .... one is El Pato Jalapeno salsa, and the other two are La Victoria Red Jalapeno Salsa and the Green Jalapeno Salsa. I never liked La Victoria until I tasted these two. These two are great.

2. La Victoria's good. There's one from Santa Barbara that's real close to a
pico de gallo that I like a lot, very simple and chunky "y con cilantro"...can't remember the name, but they post "Santa Barbara" predominately on their label as a selling point. May be available in AZ...

15. It was a Pace commercial.
Bunch of cowboys sitting around the campfire; one of them brings out a jar of salsa. They start eating it; nobody likes it, so one of them picks up the jar and looks at it:

"This stuff's made in New York City."

"New York City?!?"

(Silence as they all stare at the guy who dared bring yankee salsa, then...)

"Get a rope."

I guess you'da had to have been there.... :D

7. There is one called "505" that is made in New Mexico
and can be purchased in Arizona, although not in Florida. 505 is in reference to the NM area code.

14. I wouldn't trust emeril's salsa
Just like I learned not to trust anything in the grocery store with Wolfgang Puck's name on it. They sell the 505 in Albertson's.

13. Groan....how dare you bring up salsa when I have none to devour?
I don't really care what the brand name is, as long as it's so hot you can't taste anything for the next three days...sigh.

NEVER leave me alone with a jar of salsa. It will be gone in ten minutes.

22. Pedro's (Albuquerque, NM)
Available at www.pedros-salsa.com or 1-888-264-0870.

Very fresh tasting, comes in three varieties from mild to very hot, and somewhat more finely chopped than most salsas for MAXIMAL flavor per chip/taco.

No, I don't work for Pedro, nor do I even know him. But I go through about a jar a week of this stuff. It's awesome.

23. Wegman's Brand Mild Salsa
It's so fresh tasting with no bad ingredients. Light, with chunks of tomato and stuff. I hate salsa that tastes like a tomato paste.

Try it if you have a Wegman's close by!

26. Aldi's Grandessa Salsa
Either the Fire Roasted or Hot Jalapeno. It's a fresh, garden-style salsa found in Aldi's refrigerated section. Absolutely the best store-bought salsa I ever had.
