Yeah you told me that about If Music Could Talk, god call me crazy but I think I'd rather be a pot user than an alcohol user.

2. Snowblind by Black Sabbath.
Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 05:42 PM by Swede
Way back when,anyhoo.

Written by Tony Iommi, Bill Ward, Geezer Butler, and Ozzy Osbourne)

What you get and what you see
Things that don't come easily
Feeling happy in my pain
Icicles within my brain
Something blowing in my head
Winds of ice that soon will spread
Down to freeze my very soul
Makes me happy, makes me cold

My eyes are blind but I can see
The snowflakes glisten on the tree
The sun no longer sets me free
I feel the snowflakes freezing me

Let the winter sunshine on
Let me feel the frost of dawn
Fill my dreams of flakes of snow
Soon I'll feel the chilling glow.

5. Sweet Leaf.....alright now...won't you listen....
When I first met you, didn’t realize
I can’t forget you, for your suprize
You introduced me, to my mind
And left me wanting, you and your kind

I love you, oh you know it

My life was empty forever on a down
Until you took me, showed me around
My life is free now, my life is clear
I love you sweet leaf, though you can’t hear

Come on now, try it out

Straight people don’t know, what your about
They put you down and shut you out
You gave to me a new belief
And soon the world will love you sweet leaf

...and then there's Fairies Wear Boots...

Goin’ home, late last night
Suddenly I got a fright
Yeah I looked through the window and surprised what I saw
Fairy boots were dancing’ with a dwarf,

All right now!

Fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
Yeah I saw it, I saw it, I tell you no lies
Yeah fairies wear boots and you gotta believe me
I saw it, I saw it with my own two eyes,

Well all right now!

So I went to the doctor
See what he could give me
He said son, son, you’ve gone too far.
’cause smokin’ and trippin’ is all that you do.

Black Sabbath :headbang: :smoke: :headbang:

18. It's gotta be The Dead's Truckin' Baby
I'm NOT a Deadhead ... the vast majority of The Grateful Dead's music doesn't impress me.
However, the ONE notable exception is the tune TRUCKIN'
... now most would agree that's a primo classic-rock stoner's tune.
-----------------------
Truckin’, up to buffalo. been thinkin’, you got to mellow slow
Takes time, you pick a place to go, and just keep truckin’ on.

Sittin’ and starin’ out of the hotel window.
Got a tip they’re gonna kick the door in again
I’d like to get some sleep before I travel,
But if you got a warrant, I guess you’re gonna come in.

Busted, down on bourbon street, set up, like a bowlin’ pin.
Knocked down, it get’s to wearin’ thin. they just won’t let you be, oh no.

24. Cypress Hill, Pink Floyd, some of The Doors,
Grateful Dead, and for me Metallica. With Metallica, it's not so much their lyrics as it is the fact that I listened to them often while I was stoned as a teenager. It brings back memories.

I actually agree with people that say the Grateful Dead are overrated, unless you are high. Being high while listening to them makes all the difference in the world.
