Will Farrell in the new Woody Allen movie!
Edited on Sat Jan-29-05 05:35 PM by asthmaticeog
"Melinda and Melinda."

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0378947/

IMDB says it was released in 2004, but I haven't seen hide nor hair of it. Was it one of those "release it in one city to squeak it in in time for the Oscars" deals?

I WANNA SEE IT! WAAAAAAAHHHHH...

1. Oooh two of my faves!
Long live Woody! (Even though his last 2 films have been sub-par).

3. You know, I actually didn't mind Jason Biggs so much.
He was certainly preferable to Kenneth Branagh's all-too-self-conscious Woody impersonation -- though Farrell is obviously going to be a better leading man than Biggs.

That it's taking so damn long for the Woodman to nail down a decent proxy-lead actor is astonishing. If Farrell pulls it off, maybe we'll see them team up again?

4. I hope so. I think it's good that he's stopped putting himself in the lead
Again, at least for this movie and the Biggs one. Makes things much more believable. Although it is always good when Woody performs as himself (or the Woody character).

5. Well, I'll be looking forward to it!
I've thought that Will Farrell is immensely talented....including projects like a Woody Allen film. Sounds like a must see film.

Woody Allen's films as of late have been hits and misses. But he is a genius...I can see a film like "Crimes and Misdeameanors" and appreciate that he's making films.
