How to keep the peace for just $2.99
Lost my headphone adapter (allows the 1/8" plug to go into a 1/4" jack) during my move a few months ago. Maybe removed it 3 times in 18 years, then lost the little bugger after all this time.

Neighbor upstairs is the sensitive type, and didn't like the vibration of my speakers, although I didn't think I was being too loud. But bass is bass I guess, with a good system. She had never complained before in the 3 months I have lived here, so I was a bit surprised. I have been louder.

We're all snowbound and cabin-fevered today, which may explain it. Have to have some TUNES though.

She knocked on my door. I apologized, turned it down, she thanked me, and was back upstairs in no time.

So I braved the elements and hit the Radio Shack at the local mall to buy a new adapter.

Problem solved, courtesy maintained, and loud music needs fulfilled. :-)

2. HAHA!
I have their 3 studio efforts (need the live one and the covers CD), but it was BOB SEGER of all things! Can you believe that? But here is some background:

On New Year's Eve, Gina (nini) and I were freaked out by her stalker boyfriend throwing rocks at her window above while standing in front of mine - this was 12:30 AM or so. After 90 minites of his door-knocking and window-rock-throwing, I had to get the police to haul him off. It was creepy! Calling her name and saying "I can't leave!"

So she doesn't need aggravation from a loud neighbor. :-)

7. LOL
I didn't see this before my post.

Yep, she can let everyone in the complex get woke up by her 'friend' in the middle of the night.. but let's your music get to her. :eyes:

10. yeah, it was annoying
Especially since the music in question was fairly mellow rock. But I figured if I made a mountain out of this molehill, management might hear about it, and I don't need that.

Also, as I said, I have had harder music louder, so I think it was just the snowbound thing.

Luckily, it tapered off and the roads are melted, so it wasn't too bad getting out!

6. If only!
But at least she didn't call the police over this! Some neighbors would.

5. Sounds like a good plan, dude...
I had a neighbor in college who mounted his freakin' speakers to the wall above my bed and desk... most of the time I could deal with that, but sometimes....

Nice of you to keep the peace :)

8. I missed my headphones anyway
You can hear subtleties not always apparent in the speakers. Case in point: Pink Floyd, lol.

I don't listen to BOOM-BOOM crap, and never so loud I can't hear myself think... but sometimes the right vibration can be annoying.

The roads were fairly clear this evening, but this morning, SNOW AND ICE. So I am going to the post office Monday afternoon. :-(

You'll have them by next weekend. I swear!
