Best Randy Newman lyrics ever!
(Randy) "Fat man with his kids and dog
Drove in through the morning fog
Hey there Rover, come on over..."

(Lois) "Well, it's nice to have music whilst we eat." (Spoken)

(Randy) "Red headed lady, reaching for an apple
Gonna take a bite, nope, nope,
She gonna breath on it first, wipe it on her blouse.
She takes a bite, chews it once, twice, three times, four times, Stops!
Saliva workin', takes a hard long look at Randy ...five times
Fat old husband walking over"

(Lois) "Let's get the hell out of here."

(Randy) "They're walking down the road
Left foot, right foot
Left foot, right foot
Left.."

;)

1. Oh yeah? I like this one better.
Broken windows and empty hallways,
a pale dead moon in a sky streaked with grey.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Scarecrows dressed in the latest styles,
the frozen smiles to chase love away.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today
Lonely, lonely.
Tin can at my feet,
I think I'll kick it down the street.
That's the way to treat a friend.

Bright before me the signs implore me:
Help the needy and show them the way.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

Lonely, so lonely.
Tin can at my feet,
I think I'll kick it down the street.
That's the way to treat a friend.

Bright before me the signs implore me:
Help the needy and show them the way.
Human kindness is overflowing,
and I think it's gonna rain today.

2. My personal favorite
Reminds me of my 2 girls- I am using this as part of the video I'm having made for their high school graduation in June.

You've got a friend in me.
You've got a friend in me.
When the road looks rough ahead,
And you're miles and miles from your nice warm bed.
You just remember what your ol' pal said.
Boy, you've got a friend in me.
Yeah, you've got a friend in me.

You've got a friend in me.
You've got a friend in me.
You got troubles, and I got 'em too.
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you.
If we stick together we can see it through,
Cause you've got a friend in me.
You got a friend in me.

Some other folks might be a little bit smarter than I am.
Bigger and stronger too.
Maybe, but none of them will ever love you the way I do,
It's me and you, boy.

And as the years go by,
Our friendship will never die.
You gonna see it's our destiny.
You've got a friend in me.
You got a friend in me.
You got a friend in me.
