I love learning languages... took 5 years of French before college, and 3 years of German in college, plus 9 months living there. Speaking French is really hard now after learning German, but I can still read a decent amount of it. Not fluent, by any means, but passable.

Get yourself on the Metro and hop over to Smithsonian Station.
Check out the East and West Wings of the National Gallery, the Hirschhorn (that's the round one...don't miss their sculpture garden either), the Freer, and the Renwick.

Bop over to the Corcoran, the Phillips, and the National Museum of Women in the Arts while you're at it. Those that aren't free do not charge much, and they have student prices for guys like you.

They're practically in your backyard...

An art gallery is a great place for a date, too! :-)

...stired things up a bit. The fact that the model's eyes looked out of the painting and confronted the viewer upset a few people.
