Have you ever had a friend threaten a DU intervention? |
|
Last night I was at a friend's house watching the Australian Open women's finals. During a commercial break, the following conversation took place:
me: are you logged on? friend: to my computer? me: uh...yes? friend: why? oh...are you SERIOUS? you have to check DU? me: but...but...JimmyJazz was having a tough time and people are arguing about Cheney's attire and Night Train is sick...and...and... friend: seriously? i think we need some kind of intervention here.
So, anyone else think you're just a little to dependent on DU?

1. My Wife threatens that all the time. |

But she loves reading the lounge threads over my shoulder.

2. Oh, I won't let my husband do that. |
|
Which makes him think we're a bunch of depraved lunatics, I think.
Oh, wait......

4. It's kinda bad when I want to tell people who don't come to DU |
|
neat stories about stuff I read here or about people here and they say "What is this again? This website you keep talking about?" and they roll their eyes and look at each other like "Bouncy's at it again, talking about that imaginary place and all her imaginary friends."

:loveya:
But do you know how weird it sounds to stomp off from a conversation yelling "WELL SOMEONE NAMED PROGMOM WHO LIVES SOMEWHERE IN THE US LOVES ME, SO THERE!"
Hee hee. And someone named Placebo loves me, and someone named Dookus tolerates me, and I have a little friend named KLEEB.
ROFL.

|
And my sneaking around another icky website...
Some people were personally offended by what I did.
Other's thought it was funny.
I still don't know either way...

If you really want details Pm me...
I just want to forget the whole thing happened. It put a rift between me and a few other DU posters, all for my love for a certain professional dancer who used to post here...

9. Hmmm....nothing I saw seemed like a breakdown. |
|
So maybe I missed it?
There was one night when you were having a little bit of a tough time because you were feeling ignored, but I think we all have those nights. So what did I miss?

26. MrG hates it hates it hates it. Therefore I am only on when he is at |
|
work, when I am working ( I work from home),or when he is asleep...which pretty much covers the whole day. ;)
It was awful when I was in the hospital and off DU for three weeks. I don't know what was worse...almost croaking, or not being able to check in on DU. :hi:
