Keep me warm, let me wear your coat...
Voted "Behind Blue Eyes," as great a composition as I have a right to ask for. I would shoot six U.S. Senators to hear this song. For that matter, I'd shoot twelve if I could choose the Senators.

You think we look pretty good together You think my shoes are made of leather
But I'm a substitute for another guy I look pretty tall but my heels are high The simple things you see are all complicated I look pretty young, but I'm just back-dated, yeah
(and other great lyrics)

Thanks for setting this in front of me tonight. I'm appreciative -- it's sort of my calling...

"I was born with a plastic spoon in my mouth..."
One thing I love about Google is I can find song lyrics so easily.
I type "lyrics", then the song title in quotes, and then the artists name.
here is some more from this very witty song:
Substitute me for him Substitute my coke for gin Substitute you for my mum At least I'll get my washing done

But, I think my favorite is probably "Sea and Sand" or maybe "5:15"
I dunno. It depends on my mood.

It seemed whenever I quit a suck-o job, moving on to what I hoped was a better future, I'd hear that song on the radio that day.
edit - damn typo

I believe Pete Townshend surpassed the innovation of 'Tommy' with 'Quadrophenia,' and 'The Real Me' is my favorite cut on that album.

16. Yes- I like Quadrophenia better than Tommy. |
|
Quad had some great songs- I just didn't have space to list all of them. I am waiting for the Deluxe edition of Quad to be released by MCA.

All those masterful Townshend pieces, and an Entwhistle tune beats him out.
Kind of like how George got "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" by John and Paul.

Just heard it the other day for the first time in ages, and it still makes me turn up the radio. Hard to believe it was 23 years ago now... :o
