"Will and Grace" has yet another special guest star this week. |
|
Isn't that a sign that the show has "jumped the shark"? Maybe a mercy killing might be in order??

1. I don't see it much these days |
|
catch some late night in syndication. Is Grace pregnant? Its seemed like she has drastically changed clothing style and spends a lot of time carrying stuff. Might be my imagination.
And, yeah, the show seems a little flat. All the guests can't be good.

Let it die a quick death. Please.
I don't like that show. Not much at all really.
I don't think you can equate being gay with liking "Will & Grace."
There. I said it. It's out. That's a load off. :7

19. I've always wondered that myself. |

I mean, look at him. Totally hot. He's an attorney. He's smart. He lives in Manhattan. Did I mention he's hot? He has a beautiful voice. He's well-dressed. Funny, in a self-deprecating kind of way. NOT snotty at all.
There's NO way he'd have such a hard time finding a date in real life.
No way.

This man is every self absorbed, snotty, attitude queen I've ever encountered. Yeah, I can kind of understand why he doesn't have a husband...WAY too demanding standards.

12. I think the official death knell |
|
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 12:56 AM by Mabus
is the appearance of relatives. Sometimes, like on "Cosby" or "The Brady Bunch" it is a young child. Sometimes it is a pseudo-relative ala "Happy Days" and the Fonz becoming the show, unlike his early pop-ins when the show revolved more around "Ritchie." Although more recently it is the beginning of semi-regular family members showing up. On "Friends" it was Rachel's sisters that starting popping up out of the woodwork.
New relatives = death knell. Anyway, that's my theory. :dunce:

you know the entire cast (regardless of age, financial situation or how well their characters are liked by all the other characters) manage to go on vacation together.

It's pretty much all shit.
Foreign films seem to be the only flicks that break stereotypes rather effortlessly. I even saw a Turkish film that was a more wholesome look at gay life than any of the shit that this country has put out. I found that particularly interesting, given the supposed higher level of "gay stigma" in Turkish culture.
Every romantic comedy that comes out in the states gotta have some flaming queen on the sideline.
Just cause you put a raging "flamer" in a flick doesn't mean we've made any progress. It simply means the definition of "gay" is reinforced to the "masses." It then becomes harder for the public to comprehend anyone who doesn't fit into that little stereotype glory-hole.
Stereotypes get me all :grr:

FINALLY.
All of this "gay" television has the masses fooled into thinking that "Hey! I'm okay with gays!" but it's just reinforcing the stereotypes. Blech.
