Why does * use the word "thug" all the time?
To me a thug is a person who grabs a purse and runs off with it...

5. Because he and his buddies ARE thugs, and the word
Edited on Sun Jan-30-05 06:52 PM by Nay
subconsciously comes to his lips so often because it is psychologically a way of talking about himself. He just doesn't make the connection. Just like all the guys who "hate gays" have subconscious homosexual longings, etc.

It's a Frank Luntz word.

Every word he speaks is focused-grouped.

9. Bush uses the word "thug" all the time because it is a term of
endearment within the Bush Crime Family. As in, "Barbara, you are such a thug." Or as in, "George P. is turning out to be a fine little thug."

15. Professional courtesy.
Seriously, he is desperate to appear legitimate, and so must constantly distance himself from those who steal and murder without any cloak of respectability.

16. He used the word "thug" on September 11 and it always struck me as
diminishing the severity of what happened. It was't a street crime, for god's sake.

He seems to think in these incredibly simplistic terms of "good guys" and "bad guys" only now he throws in a little Biblical language like "evildoers" to dress it up.

20. Difficult to slur "thug".
If you are drunk. Or something. Not that I'd ever accuse Bush of being drunk. Or something.
