Does anyone know how to get moss off of brickwork?
We have some gorgeous Mexican brick that since the prodigious central AZ rains have been growing moss like crazy!

It seems to be eating away at it, too. Help!

1. lol
That would be NORMAL up in Seattle.

I'd wait until one of your 120 degree June days, and it will probably retreat. :-)

3. Maybe a powerwasher,
I don't know if that would damage the brick.

8. Medium spray bottle of water with 1 tablespoon
bleach added. Spray lightly where you don't want it. Bleach kills everything. I am not sure what it will do to brick. Try spraying an inconspicuous place first just to see.
I hope this helps. :)

10. muriatic acid
available at pool supply stores. Mixed with water and sprayed on.

This is what the pros use but be careful. This stuff will clear your sinuses instantly!

11. usually
anything that a dilute muriatic acid will do, white vinegar will also do, with less fumes, etc.
but moss will not penetrate very deeply. might chew a little off the surface, but won't really destroy the structural integrity.
