Hold me please, I was extremely traumatized this weekend
I took my Mother & Stepfather shopping for a cell phone.

:scared: :scared: :scared:

It was the most traumatizing experience of my life getting them a cell phone. They had one but it was from like the mid-1990's with the only redeeming quality about it was the big AAA button on it they could use for contacting triple-A. Other than that they were paying $25/month for a cell phone that they had exactly 28minutes a month on it.

So I decided to put them on my cell phone plan (that $10 for an extra line). They decided to upgrade but man, was that the toughest 90 minutes of my life and I felt so bad for our sales person (A man with the patience of job).

So hopefully this phone will make due for another 10 years because I don't want to go through that again (although they're actually digging the cell phone because they can call both my brother and I free on it since we all now have Cingular Phone plans

1. Getting a cell phone and plan is only slightly less
scary than buying a car.

2. According to 1 William Thomas the health implications of the things may be
MORE scary and intimidating. :scared:

3. Were they asking technically simple ?'s that embarrased you?
thats happened to me with some of my family- where I want to hide my head or take the salesperson aside & explain that they are technically handicapped.

4. No they just made it seem like such a trauma
And plus to have my mother standing there as they do a credit check. I knew there wouldn't be any problem but it seems cell phone companies want to draw out the process even if you have been a customer for 4+ years
