I admit it. I loved the show. The theme music.... the plots.... shoes with no socks... it was all good.

15. Me, too
It was a rip, writing for those people. Terrific bunch, really interesting people who weren't afraid to get weird. And Michael Mann was so hands-on, along with Dick Wolf (who went on to do "Law and Order"), it was a brilliant education.

Paid really well, too.

Pal.

26. I'm so proud of you for working with such a great bunch.
I loved the creativity (the music, the colors, the seriousness, the actors). They captured the mood of that part of the City that I was going to come to know well as a social worker.

27. Michael Mann is a genius
It was an honor to work for him. The guy has a conscience, something you don't always find in TV or movie work. I'm still immensely impressed with him.

Being on location for the entire season gave the show a tone that permeated everything. It was such a time. I wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Thanks. I'm really glad you were able to appreciate our efforts.

Now, go study............. :)

17. They had some of the best opening scenes in TV history
I think they set a new standard among cop shows as far as grabbing the viewer's attention before the opening credits

4. What do you think of the prospect of the film remake?
Colin Farrell as Crockett
Jamie Foxx as Tubbs

Directed by Michael Mann (Heat, Collateral,Ali, Last of the Mohicans, executive producer of the series)

5. Ah yes. Tubbs and Crockett
The show that helps define the 80s. It's a shame it's not coming out on DVD anytime soon (because the DVD sets would cost a fortune if they licensed all the music ever used on the show).
