my daughter rented it last week and her and her friends watched it 3 times. We live in a very conservative area so they could totally relate.

|
no doubt. I saw the spoilers here on Saturday...but still...an extrordinary film. Clint Eastwood is an amazing director.

I thought Swank was great. Eastwood and Freeman worked well together. A good story, script, production and acting. I wouldn't be surprised to see this one pick up a lot of hardware.

9. Rented Sky Captain & World of Tomorrow and Without A Paddle. |
|
Both are decent rentals - glad I didn't spend the full ride in a theatre.
Sky Captain may be something I'd watch again.

16. I saw "Ray" and rented "Vanity Fair" |
|
Edited on Mon Jan-31-05 11:35 AM by terrya
"Ray" was pretty decent. Jamie Foxx was superb.
"Vanity Fair" with Reese Witherspoon as Becky Sharp...directed by Mira Nair....good looking film. But it is so..so....so....so...borrrrrrring. I thought this film would NEVER end.

36. I rented Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle this weekend.., |
|
Basically, it was just good, goofy fun. It's a little too far-out in some spots and a little too gross in others, but a good, funny movie overall.

We rented it. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen in my life! It's a very efficiently written character study. It was very moving. And it inspired great conversation and affection between me and my husband after watching it. It did what great art is supposed to do--it connected us to our own lives.
Seriously awesome film.

And it was really good.
It gets rather harrowing in parts. And the girl who plays Maria (don't remember her name) is fantastic.

35. Casablanca (1942) on the big screen ... |
|
at the Classic Theater Festival in Athens, GA. After the viewing there was a live, on-stage interview by Robert Osborn with Ingrid Bergman's daughter. It was such an entertaining day ... Viewing Casablanca on the big screen, in the company of a packed theater was a unique experience.
