1. I never understood that
Of course freedom isn't free- but what does that have to do with Iraq?

3. Exactly what I wondered
We have to sacrifice American lives for... Iraqi freedom, thats the implication. But did they want us to, and do they now, and is that what we are doing there, really?

2. ALLLLLL over the place, and it ticks me off every time.
Of course freedom isn't free. But OUR freedom wasn't in danger from Iraq, and THEIR freedom wasn't the reason they were invaded.

5. It doesn't cost 1600 American Lives or 10,000 Iraqi Lives either....
I hate that bumper-sticker.

Ironically enough, where I live is Ruraltown USA, and those bumper-stickers, along with the "Protect EVERY life" and "support the troops" are always on some Wide-Assed SUV that takes up 2.5 parking spaces at Costco.

"Protect Every Life"....the small, shillouetted fetus....I wonder if "every life" includes non-white, non-christian, non Republicans as well? Or do we just want to preserve the sanctity of life when it lives in a womb (not when it lives in a shack with no running water).

Sigh. That's another discussion for another day

20. I SO want a "Hamburger stops a beating heart"
bumper sticker to counter that stupid, weepy pro-"life" garbage...

and I'm not even a vegetarian. I'm merely stating a fact.

Alas, such a bumper sticker would almost certainly be an invitation to a drive-by shooting, here in "Christian" Red State Land.

13. I think "Right! So we better fight hard against the Bush administration!"
I also saw "Vote Freedom First"
My thoughts were that Bush has actually taken more freedom away from Americans! We are LESS free now than before he was made president!

Why don't they just come out and say what kind of freedom they're talking about: Freedom for the US to force our plans on the rest of the world.

Allong with the pre-req "support our troops" yellow ribbon, a "W," assorted other Bush stickers, and a big NRA sticker.

It irritates me every time I see it in the parking lot.

30. Aww,
I feel for you! Thats just disturbing. This guy that I work with is a total wel fare dad. Lives in the projects dad. And of course I'm not critisizing him for that but when he found out I voted for Kerry he went off about me sticking up for Arabs who are jealous of our freedom and how could I defend them and blah blah blah. And I really could not believe my ears. So then I'm making labels for food prepration and he tells me to make sure I write it in English and not Arabic because we cant read Arabic. ;(

Finally in later conversation, (if thats what you want to call it because this guy is a raging lunatic), I tell him that we invaded the wrong country. Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11. and he says to me, "and you believe that". OMG ITs totally hopeless with people like this.:wtf:

Apparently, all it costs these clowns is the price of a bumper sticker. Let's see them put that bumper sticker on an unarmored humvee and drive around Iraq.

OMG. Could you be anymore arrogant! My bf found one that says:

F-THE PRESIDENT!

LOL, I got a kick out of that. I'll have to find out where he found it at.

He has one that says fear wins. But I'm a little more pathetic because I still have my Kerry/Edwards sticker on my car. I'm a little behind.

35. actually, I kind of like the slogan itself
...just not the way it's used

To me, it suggests all the work that has to be done to keep a democracy running. Like the good work so many on this site do. I agree that I really don't see how it pertains to Iraq at all. Is it supposed to mean the Iraqis' freedom or America's freedom?

36. Well, you're right. Its a good reminder of the price of freedom when you
think about it in the context of the major wars we've had that were worth fighting, and that accomplished something. But in the context of this war with Iraq it makes no sense to me.
