What is your pet's favourite "people food"? |
|
What do you indulge your pet with regarding human food? Let's face it, we all give our pets things they love but (perhaps) shouldn't have.
My dog has a great diet PLUS he gets: any cheese (especially blue cheese or roquefort), chicken, turkey, grilled tuna, scallops, and pizza crust! :9
He absolutely LOVES it all! But, he gets portions very sparingly! ;-)
What about your pet?
:D

They shouldn't eat much of it, but it's hard to fight them off.

4. We feed our dogs raw meat and vegetable--human-grade. |
|
And of course they love it. So do we: White teeth, great coats, better overall health, and as a result, fewer vet bills!

Of my three cats, only Dora cares for people food. The other two will stare at you until you toss them a piece of chicken, but they don't eat it. Dora makes sure it's not wasted.
She also likes baked potatoes. I thought it was my bacon bits she was after, but I tossed a plain piece of potato to her with nothing on it, and she scarfed it down and kept coming back for more.

Makes no difference WHAT it is - if she thinks I'm eating it, then it's her favorite.

The first time he stole it off my plate, I did a double-take. Now it's one of his treats.

Just like the song.
The big dog will climb up on my kitchen counters to snag a loaf of bread, or to clean out the butter dish. I'm running out of places that are high enough to keep things out of her reach.
Other than that, both dogs get "people food" as part of their normal diet, so generally anything I make for breakfast, we can all share: eggs, potatoes, cottage cheese, etc. The only thing I don't share with them is their raw meat. They're quite welcome to keep that for themselves. :)
