What's the best cell phone company to be with? |
|
I use Verizon and it's not the best in my area. I have a lot of dropped calls.

You should find out which ones have better coverage in your area. Cingular now has the biggest network because of the AT&T acquisition.

7. Cingular seems alright... |
|
but be wary of their return policy on phones. 99% of the time they'll try and say you abused or damaged it, if something goes wrong (even if you did nothing), and charge you for the phone instead of replacing it like a nice Cingular!
Tried to do it to me, the bastards, after my 1 week old phone started fucking up after I did nothing to it...said I must have damaged it and this can't have just gone wrong on its own and blah blah blah, tried to charge me for it too! the fuckers.
that being said, coverage is good and the rates ain't bad

8. It depends on where you are |

One thing I liked about cingular was that it gave a map of my town. My daughter lives 5 minutes away from me and she had excellent reception on the map. That has been my experience using cingular when I am at her house. The map showed my area has fair reception. I have not had a dropped call in the 2 months I have had cingular. On the other hand, T-mobile was almost useless here.

9. I am actually EXCITED by the service I get from T-MOBILE |
|

All over the country. Plus no roaming charges. Ever. Anywhere.
Even receiving international calls is very cheap - sometimes, it just costs me minutes.
I got it just over a year ago, and I am utterly committed to T-MOBILE.
Though I'm sure in a year, or maybe two, some other company will come along and blow them away, and technology will have improved that we all recieve phone calls through our inner ears, but in the meantime, I love my service.
And if there is any signal to be had from pretty much any provider, my phone gets it. With, as I said, no roaming charges.

10. We Like T-Mobile, Too |
|
Since I work 45 miles from home, all The Princess's calls to my office were toll calls. Our home phone bill was running $150 a month. And my bare-bones cell phone plan was running over $90 some months with the overage charges.
Now we're on T-Mobile's Family Plan. We each got a free Nokia phone, and we share 800 minutes a month for $70 plus tak. Calls between our phones don't count toward that 800-minute total, and we've never gone over our limit. Plus long distance is free and no roaming charges.
And our home phone is now around $50 a month, so we've cut our phone costs in half.
