Poll question: Logan's Run
is it really worthy of a remake?

1. One of my favorite movies!
I actually watched it on the eve of my 30th birthday!

I walked around for days with a black star that I drew with a magic marker in the palm of my hand...

LOL!

3. 2005. Difference is, Logan in the new version faces 'the issue' at age 21.

Not 30.

I've the orig on DVD but have yet to see it in its entirety. Looks cool fromw hat I've seen. The orig that is, I usually HATE remakes.

5. Oh, it's definitely cool.
It's one of my favorite movies.

21? What was wrong with 30?

6. The intended age range of this movie, perhaps?
That's the only thing I can think of; it helps the movie industry get R-rated crap down to PG-13 level too. (I gather they're trying to make a new PG-15 rating. :eyes: )

7. Logan was somewhere between 25 and 28 when he went red
The computer changed him from a green to a red so that he could more convincingly pass as a runner.

I would love to see a remake focusing on the Soylent Green aspect of the original movie. You don't think too much about it because the scene only lasted a minute or so, but Box's job was to harvest the food the people in the city ate. When the sea quit giving up food, he started freezing runners who made it to the city seals. Anyone want to guess what they did with them?

8. I thought the original sucked, so a remake couldn't be much worse
...I'd also like to see a remake of "Soylent Green"

9. Some remakes are better than the original.
"The Italian Job" and "Oceans Eleven" are two of those. However, most remakes are crap made to make a buck. When a film has been done well, they should just leave it alone, IMHO.
