5. That's a different way to start the day

Just had to say hello!

I listened to a heartbreaking story on NPR of how the families of deployed reserve and natl guard troops are it such terrible financial straits. One member's wife called for help, she and the children were living in the car after the house was damaged by flooding. She wouldn't except help if that meant telling her deployed husband. That was hard, even for me. :cry:

But reading about Halliburton first thing in the morning sent my blood pressure through the roof.

I feel better now. Took some ibuprofen for my knee and went and worked out for an hour.

The anger is still with me, but I am better able to control it now. :)

That is a very sad story about the woman living in her car with her children! Uggh. More evidence of the dire straits we're in.

I will call legislators again today about withdrawing the troops, sign email petitions against DeLay, send letters telling legislators not to approve drilling in the Arctic, etc. There's just so much going on.... Hard to focus on my work.

I know I'm not alone.
