The Simpsons are on- do I even care?
Edited on Sun Mar-20-05 08:04 PM by Beware the Beast Man
I've seen only three episodes this season, and with the exception of the occasional gag, they've been pretty boring.

Do you think it may be time for the Simpsons to call it a day? I do.

1. They're past their creative peak
But even at half strength, The Simpsons are still better than 90% of the other crap on television.

6. It should have ended years ago.
As it stands now, over half of the episodes during the entire run are mediocre or poor. The brilliance of it's earlier seasons have long since past.

7. The shows are still funny
In fact, a C Simpsons is like a B+ in overall television. Tonight's show was slightly above average.

8. This episode was hilarious!
If you didn't watch it you missed out. Some great references. Very clever tonight. Bankruptcy came up, which was nice after the recent vote. Marge gets high too.

11. Yes it was hilarious tonight.
I watched the Simpsons with people before who just didn't get all the references and parody--I'm sure it must be boring if that stuff just blows by.

12. Lots of funny stuff in the middle
I also liked Marge's answers when Homer asked about his faults. You know, about the toothbrush - LOL. The ending was somewhat conventional, but it didn't ruin the show.

13. Yes, I do. It's time for "The Simpsons" to say goodbye.
They've had a good long run...and even with the occasional change of writers, the show is just going to get more stale with every passing year. It's time for the show to end.

14. Personally
I think Matt Groening and gang have regained some of that old biting political sarcasm and political commentary that they were known for in the early days while at the same time being very humorous. You really ought to watch this season. They are quite good.
