Was Bing Crosby really a "hollow man"?
I'm reading a biography of Der Bingle titled, "The Hollow Man" and it appears our fun loving, relaxed crooner was a very detached man who had numerous affairs during his first marriage and when his first wife lay dying of cancer (wed 20 plus years) he trotted off to Europe to play golf and make a movie. The book also alleges that his parental discipline came very close to child abuse. That he used people to get to the top (not unusual in show bizz) and generally was the opposite of his established screen persona. I guess if all of this is true, Crosby was a better actor than given credit for.

Oh well, another disillusioned fan. I guess I should have known from the title.
