Any tips on dyeing Easter eggs?
I haven't done this for a looonnngggg time but I'm going to let my kids dye a couple of dozen eggs this afternoon.

I hard boiling them now.

Any tips?

1. Are you just using food coloring or did you get a kit?
I remember you need vinegar...

8. I bought three kits just so I would have three of the little wire dunker's.

They don't cost much and I figured all three of the kids were all going to be wanting to do it at the same time.

It will be a fiasco, I'm sure, but what the hell!

Yep, vinegar is needed and, luckily, I found some in the back of the cabinet.

10. be sure to lay out LOTS of newspaper to work on! lol
you'll have fun. don't get too hung up on the mess. it's all worth it in the end, especially if you have an easter egg hunt. they LOVE to find their own eggs! "hey! i made this one!"

2. You can get easter egg stamp kits and paint kits now too
and glitter kits and marble dye kits and striping kits and oh my :bounce:

6. My daughter dug out the white crayons so we can write or draw on
them before we dye them.

11. Did you see Olberman's Countdown show where they did a
puppet theater reenactment of the freaky fundie church (last Easter) that did a show FOR CHILDREN showing the Easter Bunny getting whipped to "show what Easter is all about"?

It was hilarious. The had a Barbie whipping a chocolate bunny with a ribbon.
