It started when they were young teenagers making up nicknames for themselves. A dumb kid thing that stuck...my dad still calls a cousin of his Boots. Whatever.

But Bono had such a *bad* voice that they named him Bono Vox from the name of a hearing aid store.

Wow, I know a lot of U2 trivia. Stop me before I get to the story about Bono and the bee.

Why U2 seems to be such a polarizing band. People seem to either loathe them or think they're the greatest band of all time. I've never really been a huge fan myself, but I really don't have anything against them (except for the fact that I do wish Bono would just shut up and make music sometimes).

Personally, I kind of like The Edge's guitar style. I've always loved that whole John Fogerty/Neil Young "less is more" school of guitar playing, but that's just my opinion.

Anyway, U2 is just an OK band in my book.
